Description
The nose initially suggested fuzzy peaches, butterscotch, trampled ferns, milk bottle sweets and homemade lemonade. A dollop of clotted cream on a vanilla sponge cake. Water revealed a more vaporous and aromatic side with lightly medicinal notes of aniseed, fennel and herbal teas. The neat palate showed robust maltiness at first. Lots of malt syrup, wood extracts, cereal richness and biscuity sweetness. A spoonful of lemon curd added sweetness. With a little water we found juicy vanilla sweetness, pineapple syrup, fruit salad juices, guava jam and the warmth of peppery watercress.
