Description
Clinging lovingly to the sides of the glass, this dram had a deep and inviting colour that spoke of the treasures yet to be uncovered. The Panel revelled in thick and sunny aromas of ruby port, coconut suncream, nougat, and honey nut cornflakes. The palate was sweet and resinous, with golden raisins in Sauternes, dried apricots, and berry coulis. Water revealed tobacco, fennel seeds, panettone with orange peel, and chestnut purée. Reduced, the texture remains smooth and chewy, with jammy notes of Victoria sponge, toffee popcorn, and sliced fruits. A cooling, mentholic finish carried hints of granola and nutskin tannins, leaving a lasting impression on all those whose taste buds it tickled.
