Lovely, light and floral like a summer’s day picnic watching cricket being played on the village green as the world goes by. We then opened a tub of Turkish delight ice cream with that familiar flavour of rose water. It got served with chopped dark chocolate, red glacé cherries and toasted shredded coconut. Following reduction, we found cranberry juice, a melon medley with honeydew and watermelon slices, and a glass of prosecco and soda with fruity raspberry and tart redcurrant flavours. To taste, we found freshly baked shortbread, buttered scones, strawberries and cream, with a finish of pink grapefruit and limoncello mousse.
